On Tuesday, the Cato Institute hosted an excellent conference on Cryptocurrency: The Policy Challenges of a Decentralized Revolution. I had the pleasure of discussing the monetary challenges of cryptocurrencies in general and bitcoin in particular with George Selgin, Director of the Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives at the Cato Institute, Perianne M. Boring, Founder and President of the Chamber of Digital Commerce, and Eli Dourado, Research Fellow and Director of Technology Policy Program at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.
